SEASAW is a cross-continental design collaborative based in Bali and San Francisco. We are architects, landscape architects, educators, and builders, drawn together by a deep commitment to innovative, contextual design. Our international team draws from years of experience across diverse backgrounds in order to produce award-winning projects around the world. We believe that in order to create sustainable environments and communities, we must learn from the land and each other, honoring place, memory and identity.
SEASAW (PT Jungkit Konsultan Kreatif) builds upon the work of renowned California architecture and landscape architecture studio SAW // Spiegel Aihara Workshop, adapting this multidisciplinary approach to the unique character of Bali. We operate beyond the realm of architecture to create connections between buildings and landscapes, people and places, new and old.

Jeremy (Jez) Fry, Director
Jez fell in love with Indonesia over twenty years ago on a trip to Bali. He was amazed by the kindness and positivity of the people, the varied landscape, culture, architecture and food. In 2010, Jez moved to Jakarta full-time and began to focus on learning Indonesian and understanding local work practices, while launching an outdoor sporting equipment company. He went on to design and build his own boutique resort in Cimaja, West Java, and his passion for architecture, furniture design and sustainable construction flourished. After working closely with SAW to build an experimental residence in Maui, Hawai’i, he encouraged them to open a studio in Bali, where he now resides, forming the partnership, SEASAW, in 2023. His drive to bring ambitious architecture and landscape design to life, combined with his deep knowledge of local culture, materials and Indonesian vernacular buildings, makes him invaluable to the successful delivery of SEASAW projects in the region.
